Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Mottahedeh Chinoise Blue Single (1) 15” Octagonal Serving Platter / Underplate for the Covered Tureen. At the time this listing was written, multiple china / dinnerware pieces were available in a variety of patterns, as well as various pieces of glassware, and collectibles, so be sure and check out my many other lots!   The 15” octagonal serving platter measures approximately 14.875” in length, is octagonal in shape, and is marked with the following backstamp: “Chinoise Blue © 1996, Mottahedeh, 1824 VA, Vista Alegre, Portugal.” The octagonal platter has a white base, a cobalt blue/rust/gold patterned design along the outer rim, brushed gold accents, and a gold rim and verge. The pattern is currently still active with the years of manufacture beginning in 1998.   Condition: Overall, the 15” octagonal serving platter is in very good, lightly used condition, though there is some minor flaking of the outermost blue rim and gold trim as can be seen in the photos . The serving platter was acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues (chips, cracks, crazing) were noticed upon a thorough inspection. In addition to the above listed imperfections, the piece may show extremely light utensil marks, light cleaning or storage scratches, or extremely minor imperfections to the blue or gold rim and verge, however the piece looks only lightly used.  If you have specific questions regarding condition, please don’t hesitate to contact me as I am more than willing to help in any way I can!
