Has a red glitter hat and a long, spiraling beard. (Hole on top is a part of the making process). Ornament is 8” x approx 2.5”. DEPT 56 oversized, mercury glass, Santa Christmas ornament with original box. This hand blown glass ornament was created in the 19th century production style. Has a red glitter hat and a long, spiraling beard. Rope for hanging has original Dept 56 tag. Also comes with original paper tag, not attached. *NOTE* - Red glitter on hat has some areas of wear, where glitter has flaked off. In addition, it appears some of the glitter has dropped into the hole on top and has collected inside of beard. (Hole on top is a part of the making process). - one side of Santa’s face, moving down into the beard, the glass surface (appears to be inner surface) has “crystalized” to create an effect which slightly changes the look/color of the surface. If you feel the area, the glass is totally smooth, so I believe it has happened on the inside of the piece. Condition: Used. Category: Collectibles › Holiday & Seasonal › Ornaments.
