ITEM DETAILS:  Subject: Rococo-style "Love Story" scenes featuring a traditional 18th-century courting couple.  Artist Influence: These beautiful transferware porcelain miniatures feature designs adapted from the famous romantic paintings of French artist Jean-Honore Fragonard.  Framing: Each round porcelain medallion is mounted on original soft olive-green velvet mats inside a square wood frame painted in a metallic gold gilt finish.  Origin & Era: Distributed by B&S Creations, NY (Item #350) circa the 1940s to 1950s.  CONDITION: *Please review all high-resolution photos carefully as they form part of the condition description.*  This set is in very good vintage condition and shows beautifully.  Porcelain Medallions: Excellent condition French Limoges porcelain . The colors are crisp and vibrant with no chips, cracks or fading. Velvet Mats: Structurally sound and clean. Please note that like most mid-century velvet, the original olive-green pile naturally shifts in shade depending on the lighting angle. There is some minor, flat vintage spotting/patina visible on the velvet fabric under close, direct frontal inspection. Frames: Good structural condition. The gold gilt finish shows some vintage edge scuffs and light paint wear consistent with age, adding to their authentic antique charm.
