This beautiful piece is a vintage Sitzendorf Dresden Lace figurine featuring two girls and a little boy playing-perhaps Ring around the Roses. The lace and flowers are all intact. This is one of a 28 piece collection acquired from an estate where the owner took great pride and care of these figurines. Dresden Lace Technique: The intricate, multi-layered pink and white tulle skirt is crafted using authentic porcelain-dipped real lace, which burns away during firing to leave behind a delicate ceramic mesh. Condition Care: These figurines are notoriously fragile. Minor breaks or missing pieces in the lace ruffles are very common and significantly affect the value. This figurine contains no visible breakage but I’m new to Dresden so please look closely at all pictures. I am going to take precious steps when packaging these. I’ve been talking with other collectors on how to protect the lace when shipping. I am not going to offer returns as I don’t know if the same care will be taken if shipping the item back to me but I will do a partial refund if lace is broken in shipping, pictures of damage required.
