View Bird Wall Decor Lot of 2 Vintage Hand Painted 5.25" Porcelain Bird Plates Japan with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. One plate has a small dark spot on the rim. Both plates have minor wear on the backs. Both plates have holes in the back rims allowing one to thread a thin wire or cord through the holes to create a hanger for the plates. This listing is for a lot of two(2) hand painted porcelain bird plates.  The plates have the same bird design on them.  I believe they were made in Japan and are vintage from the 1960's or 1970's.  I purchased these at an estate sale and they are in good condition.  There are no cracks, no chips & no flea bites.  One plate has a small dark spot on the rim.  Both plates have minor wear on the backs.  Both plates have holes in the back rims allowing one to thread a thin wire or cord through the holes to create a hanger for the plates.  They can also be displayed on plate stands. The design is similar to a Baltimore Oriole except the birds are more yellow than orange.  One of the plate designs is not as centered as the other being a little more to the left of the plate.  One design is slightly more faded than the other as well.
