You are buying a circa 1930s-40s 950 silver (95% standard) and not American made 3 1/4” tall salt and pepper set. American silver standards in hollowware are only 2 .925 or .900. The tops are threaded screw on and one has pepper size holes the other salt. These are European or possibly Japanese. These are fairly heavy weighing 66.5 grams and only having a small cement filled area in the foot.  This set has been nitric acid tested to guarantee (see last picture). The condition is very good likely never used no dents, no monogram, no corrosion or pitting. This set comes clean polished and ready to enjoy.
