The underside of the pin is stamped with "Monet" as well. My aunt who this belonged to would easily have owned such a pin in the 1960s or the 1980s. She got married in 1947. This vintage gold-tone Monet Spinneret butterfly brooch features clear crystal rhinestones in a cluster pattern. It comes in what appears to be the original cardboard jewelry box that says "Happy Holidays" with a picture of holly suggesting that this was a Christmas gift. The inside of the box is imprinted with "Monet" on the inner top lid. The box is hinged so the lid does not come all the way off. The underside of the pin is stamped with "Monet" as well. Some sellers give this pin an era of the 1960s, and others the 1980s, so I do not know which era this pin falls into but either way it puts this pin between 40 and 60 years old. My aunt who this belonged to would easily have owned such a pin in the 1960s or the 1980s. She got married in 1947.
