I'm not sure if Joan Dunn is the artist or the subject - or both, if it's a self portrait. I don't know for sure the identity of the woman. The woman is wearing a bonnet, circa early 1800s. It's in great condition apart from the repair to the back, which includes an added oval-ish brass sheet and securing tabs.
