KAWASE HASUI Japanese Woodblock "Winter Moon at Toyamagahara" Framed Woodblock on rice paper attributed to Kawase Hasui, named "Winter Moon at Toyamagahara".   This piece has been authenticated as one is of his original printings, not a later cheap print reproduction. Sorry about all the reflections of my camera.  So hard to photo this one since it is under glass.  I have taken many pics from different angles to give you and idea of the quality.  I have taken it apart to find it has been trimmed and there is some fading so you can purchase and return if unhappy. According to  a collector/expert, the margins are severely trimmed and there’s color discoloration from the matting.   He states: “ It does present well in the frame and It is absolutely an original, lifetime edition print.  See the last two photos showing the piece outside frame. The professional quality frame measures  20-1/2 x 15-1/2".  Has a silk mat that does not have a cut edge inside window, it appears to be a wrapped mat.The print is estimated to be approx  16" x 11".  We live in humid environment so there is a slight wave to the rice paper.  No flocking or water stains. No tears.  The frame has been bumped around as this item was picked up from a thrift store.  The glass may be acrylic, with a scratch, the frame is a an acrylic navy blue.  This piece is a classic in Japanese art that adds a mid century charm to any room.
