Czech Glass Art Nouveau Deco Flower Motif Brass Bib Amber Citrine Necklace 15 In  This beautiful vintage antique Czech glass necklace is preowned and is in good condition for the right person. This necklace features amber or citrine colored glass stones accented by delicate, warm coppery brass, open metal work. The necklace has a bib (probably more choker today) and festoon style with a swag design with three hanging elements. The necklace has a dainty look with lacy, spider web like, die stamped metal frames, hand pressed dimensional flowers and open backed (no foil) bezels set with hand made faceted glass. You can even see a few teeny tiny bubbles in the glass. The necklace is articulated with panels that move independently of each other. The chain is a paperclip or short "book" style of link and it has a warm, coppery brass color with patina. There is a small amount of verdigris on the clasp and a few of the links in the chain. The necklace is short and meant for a small neck to wear properly. Ladies were a bit slimmer back in the day. Anyway, the necklace measures approximately 15" from end to end and locks with a spring ring that is working appropriately. The larger glass panels measure approximately 1" long x 1" wide. The necklace is not hallmarked. The necklace is lightweight. The necklace is dated to the 1920s, possibly a bit earlier. Conditional issues are verdigris on the clasp and a few of the chain links, patina and/or tarnish, surface scratches, plating loss and metal wear with signs of use and wear. This necklace is best suited for someone who enjoys vintage, antique preowned jewelry which may have flaws or imperfections but have character, history and a bit of mystery too.  Please note that this item ships in a box to avoid any shipping carrier damages.
