Made in Mexico, this striking piece is designed in the shape of a dimensional, looping ribbon bow with a bright gold-plated finish. At the center sits a brilliant, emerald-cut simulated ruby rhinestone in a deep wine-red hue, securely held in a traditional four-prong setting. Marks:  Stamped "Coro / Mexico" on the reverse side. This piece does  not  carry a sterling mark and is a gold-gilt base metal version. Condition:  Very good vintage condition with an authentic, age-appropriate patina to the gold finish. The central faux-ruby stone is clear and bright. Design:  Heavy, structural 1940s dimensional bow-knot configuration. Fastening:  Traditional secure pin stem and rollover safety clasp mechanism.
