The primary decorative panel depicts a tightly bound bouquet of lotus flowers, large seed pods, and long aquatic leaves gathered by a ribbon. The reverse side of the body remains undecorated to highlight the glossy, thick glaze. This 9 5/8" tall with an overall diameter of 4 1/4" Chinese porcelain baluster vase features a hand-painted underglaze blue motif against a classic celadon-tinted white ground. The primary decorative panel depicts a tightly bound bouquet of lotus flowers, large seed pods, and long aquatic leaves gathered by a ribbon. The reverse side of the body remains undecorated to highlight the glossy, thick glaze. Flanking the flared neck are two molded, openwork handles sculpted in the shape of stylized foo dogs or mythical beasts. The interior neck is glazed, showing typical dark ash flecks, while the flat, unglazed base exposes a coarse clay body with natural iron-rich firing spots and aging. Condition:  The vase is in overall good antique condition with typical workshop production characteristics and expected age wear. The top rim is rough when rubbing a finger around it; the body shows standard kiln irregularities including pinholes, scattered dark iron spots, glaze crawling, and uneven glaze pooling around the base and handles. The unglazed foot rim displays natural shelf wear, dark soil accumulation, and small, stable imperfections from use and storage. The molded foo dog handles exhibit glaze separations and firing gaps where they meet the neck, which are original to the manual assembly rather than modern damage. No structural cracks or post-production restorations are visible. The unglazed foot rim is slightly uneven, causing the vase to sit with a slight wobble on perfectly flat surfaces.
