The traditional Good Shepherd imagery is beautifully represented in this detailed wood carving, including the facial features, hair, beard, hands, robe, lamb, and shepherd's staff. The figure stands approximately 12 inches tall and has a substantial wooden base measuring approximately 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". The main figure and base have a warm brown wood finish with darker shading that highlights the carved details. The carving has a charming folk-art quality with visible hand-carved characteristics and individually carved details throughout.
