This sterling silver butterfly brooch is preowned and is in good condition for the right person. This is a pin that was handcrafted by an artisan at the end of the last century. The brooch has beautiful abalone shell in lovely natural colors and swirls. Butterfly Winged Insect Sterling Silver 925 Mexico Abalone Inlay Vintage Brooch  This sterling silver butterfly brooch is preowned and is in good condition for the right person. This is a pin that was handcrafted by an artisan at the end of the last century. This brooch measures approximately 1 & 7/8" long x 1 & 3/4" wide. The brooch has beautiful abalone shell in lovely natural colors and swirls. The back of the pin is hard to read but it is marked "STERLING MEXICO" along with what may have been the artist's name. Some of the writing has been rubbed away from use and handing of the brooch. The pin closes with a rolling C clasp. The clasp, lock, pin and the hinge are in working order. The pin is slightly bent at the middle. Conditional issues are the rubbing of the writing on the back, the bent pin at the center and light surface scratching from use and wear.  This particular pin was part of a collection and has been lovingly taken care of for years. It's an excellent collectible brooch for the butterfly enthusiast and nature lover.
