Swivel bars: both present, both working. Description A matched pair of mid-century men's cufflinks: rectangular silver-tone faces cut in five textured bands, with a woven mesh wrap. I like these because the mesh strap curves back under a hinged swivel bar, so the link wraps the cuff instead of toggling through it — and both straps are still soft and even. Markings The links themselves are unmarked — I checked both backs under raking light: no maker's stamp, no metal mark, no monogram. The name comes from the box, whose satin lid liner is printed "Anson" in gold script (see photo). So this is an Anson box, and the metal is silver-tone — there is no STERLING, 925 or gold-filled mark anywhere on the pair. About this item Anson was one of the big Providence men's-jewelry houses, and the mesh wrap-around is the form the era is remembered for.
