Set on the side and a bit lower (based on the clasp resting at the base of the neck) are three carved cinnabar beads that have a traditional style. Vintage Chinese Carved Red Cinnabar Black Onyx Bead Necklace Shou Export 33  inch This beautiful and elegant Asian Chinese carved cinnabar necklace is preowned and is in good condition, however, please note that there is a stress fracture on the hook portion of the clasp. With that said, the necklace has been worn for many years without using the clasp as it be placed right over the head.   The necklace has slightly graduated style with the sizes of the deep, black onyx beads. Set on the side and a bit lower (based on the clasp resting at the base of the neck) are three carved cinnabar beads that have a traditional style. Each bead has a rusty red brick color with traditional carvings. Each cinnabar bead has fancy, brass caps at the top and bottom of the bead and there is a small, black onyx bead in between each cinnabar bead, completing the design. The necklace is NOT knotted.  The necklace measures approximately, just about 33" from end to end and closes and locks with fancy hook clasp. There are no hallmarks on the necklace. It is a heavier weighted necklace. Conditional issues are a stress fracture at the clasp, metal wear, loss of metal plating, some tarnish, light surface scratches some very tiny dings in the stone beads (most likely natural) and signs of use and wear. It is very possible that someday the clasp will have to be replaced. This necklace was made with quality and should last for many more years with the right love and care.
