View 18 Strand Multi Shape Glass Bead with Sparkly Seed Beaded Vintage Necklace Japan with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The necklace has two strands of larger beads that resemble faux pearls but are made of acrylic and or Lucite. The other beads seem to be ok with respect to flaking. There is a bit of an end chain to use to shorten up the necklace a bit. 18 Strand Multi Shape Glass Bead with Sparkly Seed Beaded Vintage Necklace Japan  This vintage multi strand necklace is preowned and is in acceptable condition for the right person. This necklace is short at 15 inches and most likely belongs on a skinny neck. The necklace has two strands of larger beads that resemble faux pearls but are made of acrylic and or Lucite. The clear beige color beads have a coating on their exteriors and some of the film coating is flaking off. The other beads seem to be ok with respect to flaking. Matching up to each strand of larger beads are six strands of clear, luminous glass seed beads and 2 strands of silver tone seed beads giving the necklace a sparkly, luminous look.  The necklace measures approximately 15" long and closes with a hook. There is a bit of an end chain to use to shorten up the necklace a bit. The necklace is only marked with the origin Japan on the back of the hook. Conditional issues are some peeling of the coating on some of the tan/beige colored beads, some patina and/or tarnish at the two silver tone feather shaped strand anchors in addition to signs of wear and surface scratching. This necklace is from the 1960s, perhaps a tad bit later. It is an interesting, unique choker or short necklace with a bit of sparkle. It is a nice necklace for career outfits or semi-casual fashions.  It most likely would be a favorite for anyone who adores shell jewelry but more importantly, vintage jewelry, sometimes a bit flawed and imperfect but filled with history and mystery of the times.
