The oval composition features a charming pastoral scene with two young women figures, a rabbit, flowers, foliage, and a richly colored woodland background. Raised, hand-colored figures create a pronounced three-dimensional effect, while the ornate gold-tone oval frame gives the piece a romantic Rococo or Baroque Revival appearance. The original reverse label identifies the piece as: EMPIRE One Piece REF 829 Color B Made in Italy The frame is additionally stamped ITALY.
