Art Deco Woman with Fancy Hat Resin Lady Face Hand Painted Vintage Brooch Pin  This very pretty art deco style lady face brooch pin is preowned and is in good condition for the right person. This pin features a beautifully hand painted lady that is made of resin. The woman has red lips and beautifully done makeup at the eyes and a bit of blush at her cheek. She is wearing a bit of "fur" which is beige and dark brown (perhaps even black) in color for the hat. We are not sure if this "fur" is real or synthetic material. In addition, the back of the pin has a piece of faux leather that has been applied through the clasp. Truly, we are not sure why it is there but it does overlap a bit to the front when viewing the brooch. The pin measures approximately 2" long x 1 & 1/2" wide. This pin opens and closes with a simple C clasp and the clasp, pin and hinge are working appropriately, and again, there is a cut piece of faux leather on the back of the brooch that runs under and through the clasp. The brooch pin is not hallmarked or signed. Conditional issues are light surface scratching, some scuffs and discolorations on the back of the brooch along with general signs of use and wear. We believe this entire item was handmade from a kit long ago and that is perhaps why the back of the brooch has the faux leather as it was part of the kit. This brooch is dated to the 1970s, perhaps a tad bit earlier. It appears to still be in good condition. This is a brooch best suited for someone who enjoys older, vintage jewelry that may have a few flaws and imperfections but have character, history and a bit of mystery too.
