The base has the classic blue underglaze banner backstamp reading "Ironstone China," an authentic marker of 19th to early 20th-century English refined earthenware craftsmanship. Has age-related glaze crazing throughout, which adds beautiful vintage character to the piece. Has a couple of minor, original iron-firing specks on the lid common to antique ironstone clay.
