View Antique German Double-Indent Floral Reflector Finial Gold Christmas Ornament with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The rounded body retains a rich agedgold finish, while each side features a deeply molded, multi-tiersilver floral reflector accented by a small red center. The layered petals create considerable depth and give the reflectors an almost flower or daisy-like appearance. A beautiful and unusual early German-style blown glass Christmas ornament from an old family collection, featuring  two opposing deep floral reflector indents  and an elongated fluted glass finial. The ornament is exceptionally lightweight and delicate, constructed of very thin blown glass. The rounded body retains a rich aged  gold finish , while each side features a deeply molded, multi-tier  silver floral reflector  accented by a small red center. The layered petals create considerable depth and give the reflectors an almost flower or daisy-like appearance. Between the two opposing reflectors are surviving hand-painted white/silver decorative strokes. Extending from the bottom is a long, narrow  fluted silver glass finial/drop , apparently formed as part of the blown glass ornament. The terminal end appears intact and shows the characteristic finished glass termination/pontil area. The ornament retains an aged metal cap and hanging loop.  The cap is unmarked. Age & Attribution Based on its extremely thin lightweight blown glass, opposing embossed reflector construction, integral fluted finial, hand-applied decoration and comparison with documented German reflector ornaments, this piece is  attributed to German manufacture, likely early-to-mid 20th century, approximately 1920s–1940s . Similar double-indent reflector and finial forms are documented in German ornament production over a considerable period, so the dating should be regarded as an informed attribution rather than a confirmed manufacturer date. No maker's mark is present, and no specific manufacturer is being attributed. Measurements Approximately: 4 3/8" long including hanging loop 2 1/2" maximum width Condition This is an exceptionally thin, lightweight and fragile glass ornament showing age consistent with an early piece. There is visible  age-related crazing/lineation and deterioration to the gold and silvered finishes , together with areas of finish loss, oxidation, discoloration and wear to the hand-painted decoration and reflector centers. Please examine the close-up photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description. The fine lines visible across portions of the surface appear predominantly associated with deterioration/crazing of the aged finish and silvering.  No open structural cracks or chips were identified during the visual examination; however, because the glass is extremely thin and old, microscopic or difficult-to-see hairlines cannot be ruled out. The elongated bottom finial appears  intact and complete , including its terminal glass end. The ornament has intentionally been handled as little as possible because of its exceptionally delicate construction. Provenance From an  old family Christmas ornament collection  containing numerous vintage and early German ornaments preserved over generations. A particularly attractive example for the collector of  antique German Christmas ornaments, double-indent reflectors, floral/daisy reflectors, blown-glass finials and early European Christmas glass.
