Most people I’m sure are familiar with Delft, myself included, but I did not know they made a new pattern of these salad or dessert size blue plates every year since 1879! They have a 2 letter date code on the back of the plate, (on the right) which is CD on this plate and that converts to 1959. Most people I’m sure are familiar with Delft, myself included, but I did not know they made a new pattern of these salad or dessert size blue plates every year since 1879! They have a 2 letter date code on the back of the plate, (on the right) which is CD on this plate and that converts to 1959. The code on the left is the artist’s initials. I included the chart in the photos that gives you the year made. The harder part is finding a value on these. I imagine the older they are the more valuable they might be, and I’m sure condition is a factor. After extensive research of all that I could find of these plates. I found some of the previous few years as well as some from the 60s & 70s, I am asking $129 for this one because of its age and condition. The pricing is varied and some made around this era were higher and some a lot lower. Any reasonable offer will be considered. Condition: Used.
