This artistic pair of abalone shell, mother of pearl dangle earrings are preowned and are in good condition for the right person. The color is blue but has tiny bit of purple hue in the light. The design is floral with bits and pieces of abalone making up petals and leaves with a pearlescent hue of colors. Abalone MOP Inlay Floral Design Blue Enamel Hook Style Vintage Pierced Earrings  This artistic pair of abalone shell, mother of pearl dangle earrings are preowned and are in good condition for the right person. These earrings feature a silver tone with a beautiful blue color, somewhat like indigo in our opinion. The color is blue but has tiny bit of purple hue in the light. The design is floral with bits and pieces of abalone making up petals and leaves with a pearlescent hue of colors. The earrings are teardrop shaped and have an open metal teardrop at the top of the earring. The earrings measure approximately 2 & 3/8" long x 1 & 3/16" wide.  The earrings are a pierced hook style.  The earrings are not hallmarked. The artist did not sign the earrings. The earrings are light to medium weight and should not bring the earlobe down. Conditional issues are metal wear, surface scratching (mostly on the backsides), tarnish and/or patina with signs of use and wear. Please also note that one of the flower's abalone piece for a petal has either a small, natural flaw or it is a small chip. These earrings are from the 1980s, perhaps a tad bit later and are still in good condition. These earrings are best suited for someone who enjoys vintage, preowned jewelry which may have a few flaws and imperfections but have lots of character, history and a bit of mystery too.
