Vintage Chinese Yixing Zisha Style Red Clay Teapot Three Friends of Winter Style & Origin: A beautifully crafted vintage Chinese teapot in the traditional Yixing Zisha (purple/red clay) style, featuring a distinct squared bell shape that beautifully contrasts the matte, unglazed natural clay with vibrant glazed elements. Design Details: This teapot masterfully depicts the traditional "Three Friends of Winter" (Suihan Sanyou) motif, which symbolizes steadfastness, perseverance, and resilience. The applied glazed decorations feature blooming plum blossoms on one side, bamboo leaves on the reverse, and a pine branch forming the lid's handle. The spout and main handle are fully coated in a rich teal glaze and molded to resemble bamboo stalks. Maker's Mark: The underside of the teapot features a traditional stamped square maker's mark impressed directly into the clay. Measurements: The teapot measures 6 3/4" wide from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle, 5 1/2" tall to the top of the lid handle (4 1/4" tall to the edge of the pot), and 3 1/2" deep. Item Condition: This teapot is in good vintage condition.
