I can only feel/see one small flake on the end of a leaf, but it does not detract from the beauty of this piece! Very good condition for its age! Belonged to grandparents – original owners. It was purchased from JC Penny’s – price tag is still on the bottom! Original sticker stating “original bassano handarbeit made in Italy”. I can only feel/see one small flake on the end of a leaf, but it does not detract from the beauty of this piece! There is some left over felt on the bottom of the basket – but I did not want to try and remove for fear of changing the quality of this piece. There are some original lines on the bottom as well.
