A really nice piece! Description : Up for auction is a very beautiful American Sporting Dog Folk Art Original Framed Oil on Board Painting of a English Setter named, "Bart" circa 1985. Depicts a very well done dog portrait along with a second portrait of the dog working. It is signed on the lower right with "Pierson" and dated, "1985" as shown in the close up photo. The piece retains an original hand painted plate with the dogs name, "Bart" at the bottom center affixed to the frame. Excellent subject matter with a great look in a nice frame with incredible detail. Condition : Painting is in great condition with some surface nicks and scratches in addition to some wear on the frame as described in condition details above. Overall, a very good condition painting for the age and could be hung and displayed as is or easily restored to great shape. It measures total in frame at 20 1/4" x 17 1/4" with the painting itself at 18 1/8" x 15 1/8" sight size. A really nice piece! Free USA shipping includes insurance.
