The 3 pieces of hardware were removed from the belt strap on which I originally found this set, due to the fact that the belt strap had been cut and fashioned into a ranger style belt with tapering ends to accommodate that hardware. This vintage Modernist geometric abstract 3-pc sterling silver set is a different design take on western style belt buckles . Handcrafted in the Taxco region of Mexico this unique set would make a nice addition to a sterling silver and western wear belt buckle collection. Consisting of the buckle , a belt keeper and an end tip , this 3-pc set is made for use on a ranger style western belt strap. The 3 pieces of hardware were removed from the belt strap on which I originally found this set, due to the fact that the belt strap had been cut and fashioned into a ranger style belt with tapering ends to accommodate that hardware. In doing so I cut the sterling silver end tip off of the strap with the leather left inside the tip. As I have never placed or removed a tip from a strap, I do not want to risk damage to the sterling end tip by attempting its removal.  Though plainly finished the set's non-traditional a-symmetrical geometric/abstract design sets it apart from others. Special note . Please note the "weight" details for the set, in particular the total weight for the set and the individual weight given for the end tip. End tip weighs 11.3 gram including the leather piece left inside. Divided that amount in half , giving 5.6 grams . Used that half weight in total amount of 57 grams for the set. On the scales the set weighs 62.5 grams including the leather.   The buckle uses a 1" wide belt fold and the end tip use a 3/4" tip end. Note the un-identified "V" shaped foreign mark on tip end tip.
