An impressive 31" inch diameter charger plate/bowl with a Qianlong mark. This amazing hand painted charger plate is fit for a royal palace.. This is a beautiful Antique Cobalt Blue & Gold Gilt Chinese Qianlong Charger Plate with a European Hunting Scene and Qianlong mark. The details on the plate are magnificently done. The luxurious combination of cobalt blue and gold gilt designs make this charger plate absolutely stunning. There is a  European hunting scene in the center of the plate and multiple panels of the hunting scene along the sides. This particular scene takes place during the 18th century which captures the thrill and excitement of the hunt.   These pieces were so well received that the Europeans wanted a version that showed European subjects in the same scene and colors to be exported abroad. Such pieces were made during the Chinese reign of emperor Qianlong (Chien Lung 1711-1799) and exported to the West. It has an unusual Qianlong mark. Porcelains of the Qianlong period are highly collectible by museums, colleges, institutions, and serious collectors. This particular piece measures approximately 31 inches in diameter and 5.25 inches in height. It weighs a solid 33-34  pounds.
