View MCM Dorothy Thorpe Wide 1 inch Silver Band 2 3/4" Whiskey Shot Glass VGUC with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The pieces looked to be blown glass. The shot glass is in very good used condition with no defects. The glass is free of clouding or fogging from hard water or dishwasher exposure. The decoration is even and complete. This is a very good used condition clear 4.2 ounces whiskey glass in the Mid-Century Modern style with a 5/8th inch wide silver band around the top from the Wide Band pattern by Dorothy Thorpe 1947-1963.     The pieces looked to be blown glass.  The  shot glass is in very good used condition with no defects.  I can find  no cracks, chips or repairs.   The glass is free of clouding or fogging from hard water or dishwasher exposure. The decoration is even and complete.  One glass has a horizontal  scratch about 1 inch in length  about the thickness of a hair that can be seen when viewed at the correct angle and correct lighting. Looks lightly used.   Glassware that is decorated with gold and platinum should only be hand washed in warm soapy water to prevent loss/thinning of the decoration.      The  shot glass  measures about 2 3/4 inches tall, about 2 3/4 inches across the top of the  glass, about 1 1/2 inches across the bottom  and holds 4.2 ounces of fluid filled to the rim.
