This 2-piece set features a round fruit or centerpiece bowl with deep scalloped edges and the matching underplate. Up for sale is an extremely hard-to-find 2-piece set of Royal Copenhagen china! I went to a local estate auction recently and found a large set of Royal Copenhagen’s Blue Fluted Full Lace. I was able to get several serving pieces and am selling them separately so you can purchase exactly what you need. This 2-piece set features a round fruit or centerpiece bowl with deep scalloped edges and the matching underplate. The underplate’s rim echo’s the fruit bowl with scalloped edges, as well.  Neither the bowl nor the underplate are frequent finds, but you almost never see them together, making this a very special item. The scalloped fruit bowl stands about 3 1/2” high, is 9 1/8” in diameter at the rim, and measures 2 1/2” deep. The accompanying underplate measures 9 7/8” in diameter. The Both pieces are marked    “ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK, and has the trademark hand painted 3 wavy lines that represent the Danish sea. The bowl has the shape number hand painted 1/1061, while the plate has the shape number hand painted 1/1062. You may question if these two pieces are meant to be a set since they don’t share the exact shape number. From my years of selling fine china at a high-end store and referring to the vendor sales catalogue, Royal Copenhagen lists these two pieces as a fruit bowl with matching underplate and assigns them sequential shape numbers. This is in line with Royal Copenhagen’s number system when coordinating sugar bowl and creamer have sequential numbers. Condition is pristine, even mint!
