Unsure if this was originally once an 8 cup & saucer set or if it was purchased like this on purpose to use the second saucer as a tea cookie or dessert plate. Beautiful, rare pattern boasts pretty Pink, Blue & Yellow Flowers with fancy blue border accents. Golden/Gilded Outline Bottoms are stamped “Japan” in Red These are believed to be from May of 1940. They were a wedding gift to a WW2 Soldier & his new wife. One cup has a small chip on brim & another cup has a hairline crack (see last 2 pics for details of damage) All saucers appear to be chip free. All pieces have some very minor signs of normal wear -mostly very minor fading of the gilding All pieces are overall in very good to excellent antique condition. *Single Sets with 1 cup and 2 saucers are listed separately as well!
