Do not fear him, speak openly with him. This is an authentic late 60's early 70's propoganda poster from rural china of Chairmen Mao connecting with the rural people of China. You will find a many similar prints to this online, but not this particular variant.  It is exceedingly rare. Poster size is 20"x29" The text above the women reads "Yellow Earth Drawing Group" with a name - Liu Wen Xi.  It looks to be hand signed. The pink text at the lower left reads "Speak the Words Inside the Heart." This could be interpreted in a few ways 1. Chairman Mao is depicted as a man of the people, in a classless society, he is not above anyone.  He can sit and talk frankly with the peasantry. 2.  He is an uncle figure, speaking true and honestly to his family, the average Chinese person.  Do not fear him, speak openly with him. 2.  Never lie, especially to the government. How would you interpret it?  Regardless, it is a fascinating piece of history, in very good condition for its age and distance from home. It deserves a good home with an archivist, a historian, a young revolutionary or a cold hearted rhetorician that can care for it and preserve it so that it may be discussed into the future, and for better or worse  never be forgotten.
