These are becoming so hard to find and quite rare.most were lost or broken over the years as they are quite fragile. Vintage Chalkware Wall Decor Pin-Up Topless Mermaid Family (3 Pieces) with 2 "Bubbles" These are becoming so hard to find and quite rare.....most were lost or broken over the years as they are quite fragile This is a 5 piece set of vintage chalkware wall decor....no maker markings on the backside of them Done in the "Sailor Valentine" style...and very 1950s retro look in the hand painting and adornment of the pieces I just LOVE the colors....body on each is a flesh tone, tail fin area is white with gold accents & adornments Each has a variety of tiny adornments and gilt gold accents added to the body portion(s). The adornments often varied from piece to piece and were hand done, making each a OOAK piece The tail fin tips have tiny gold round balls glued at the bottom of each... There are tiny shells with the tiny gold balls inside them on each in several spots.... The larger mermaid has a gemstone in one ear, small shells on her body and fin, and gilt gold accents The 2 "bubbles" are glazed with an pearlized iridescent finish The larger mermaid is approximately 8" top to bottom and each is done in 3D raised relief No major cracks, chips or repairs...in what I would consider to be NEAR MINT condition A few minor signs of wear and age.... The tip of the "arrow" on one of the smaller mermaids is missing a tiny piece and was re-glued at some point Some of the tiny gold "balls" have fallen off over the years.....just some...plenty remain The larger "bubble" has a hairline crack running through it These would display WONDERFULLY!!!    The pictures do a much better job of describing this item than I ever could, please check them out!
