Vintage McCoy Pottery Quilted Diamond Leaves & Berries Jardiniere Planter White Ivory This vintage McCoy Pottery jardiniere planter features a quilted diamond pattern around the body with a raised laurel band of leaves and berries under the rim and bow shaped handles. It has a low lustre white or light ivory glaze and the ceramic material is yellow in color. Molded into the ceramic on the bottom is “McCoy USA”. No number is marked on this piece. Prior to being listed in my store the planter was carefully cleaned, hand washed and dried. It will be ready to use or display upon receiving. Mrs. Edna is not a professional grader, but in her opinion this item is in good or better pre-owned used vintage condition. There are no cracks or repairs in the ceramic. There are signs of wear from age, use and storage which include, but are not limited to, potting soil and plant residue ring/stains on the inside, scuff/scratch marks, small metal mark scuffs on the outside (they look similar to utensil marks on coffee mugs) and a chip on the bottom unglazed foot. There are a few naturally occurring unique flaws and imperfections to this piece, from the handcrafting process involved in creating it, which include extra bits of clay material, pinholes in the glaze and variation in the design, shape, finish and glaze application.
