Vtg Hand-Carved Sandalwood Jali Undercut Elephant-in-Elephant Figurine ~4"L ** EXCELLENT Vintage Condition -- ESTATE Find ** --- No Chips, No Cracks, No Repairs --- This striking vintage elephant figurine is a great example of traditional Indian wood-carving craftsmanship. Hand-carved from a single block of warm-toned sandalwood.  The Figure has a second, smaller elephant carved entirely inside the hollowed belly of the larger one. The wood has a smooth, matte finish.  It Showcases the intricate "Jali" or open lattice-work Carving technique. NOTE:  All Pics Taken with a Flash .   Approx.
