I think these were the ones that hung in the bathroom since 1978 and no one was allowed to touch them. This Vintage "The Avanti Look" 1978 6 Piece Towel Set is perfect for cottage core, Shabby Chic, Grandma vibes, or retro 1970s/1980s bathroom decor!  This is the "Prelude Style", in Tea Rose or Dusty Rose Pink.  Towels have crisp, legible vintage tags with 1978 BY AVANTI. PERFECT FOR SHABBY CHIC, GRANDMACORE, AND COTTAGECORE DECORATING Features a classic retro dusty rose/pink velour cotton with elegant embroidered cream floral motifs (daffodil and rosebud) accented with gold metallic thread outlines.  Washcloths feature a charming, original, factory-fringe edge. In good, clean vintage condition, with some sun fading along the towel bar lines and fold creases.  I don't believe these towels were actually ever used.  I think these were the ones that hung in the bathroom since 1978 and no one was allowed to touch them.  I washed them in Gain detergent before taking photos.  This beautiful, time-earned color gradient across the hang folds offer authentic character that confirms its 45+ year history in a preserved estate. Some of the original stabilizer/interfacing fabric (on the reverse side) from the manufacturing process to support heavy machine embroidery on plush terrycloth is still present, confirming these towels were barely, if ever, used!
