It is a clear vinyl like material and on the stiffer side. There are scratches and scuffs throughout the backpack. The underside of the flap has red spots on it. The bottom of the backpack has orange spots. The straps are adjustable, and they have some fraying of the threads. The hook and eye closure works appropriately.
