View Vintage Matisse The Cut-Outs 1977 Exhibition Poster Framed National Gallery Art with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Matisse turned to this new form and technique by the mid-40s or so and these works were really at the tail end of his career as he died in 1954. These works were quite unique for sure and executed with aplomb by one of our greatest Modern masters. Here is a lovely exhibition poster called "Matisse The Cut-Outs" which was published in 1977 to coincide with the show at The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC celebrating Matisse in the final chapter of his wonderful career. Matisse turned to this new form and technique by the mid-40s or so and these works were really at the tail end of his career as he died in 1954. I think they're quite special and I actually have a larger version of a similar work hanging in my hallway way up high like a museum poster. These works were quite  unique for sure and executed with aplomb by one of our greatest Modern masters. Framed in blue it very nicely compliments  the kaleidoscope of colors that Matisse carefully selected. I will list the poster as local pickup only but will certainly entertain shipping although I think it will be on the expensive side because of its size.   Condition: Used. Category: Art › Art Posters.
