This is an antique pocket door lock made by Norwalk Lock Co in the 1880s to early 1890s. This is the female (receiving end) lock- the male lock has a latch that hooks into the opening on this lock’s face. This is an antique pocket door lock made by Norwalk Lock Co in the 1880s to early 1890s. The design is called ‘Italian Renaissance’ or sometimes called the ‘Rope’ pattern. This is the female (receiving end) lock- the male lock has a latch that hooks into the opening on this lock’s face. This pattern is quite rare, and anything made by Norwalk exhibits superb craftsmanship. The face is cast bronze, with a thin layer of corrosion-resistant wax applied. The mechanism has been fixed and cleaned, it works well. The case cover cannot be over-tightened or the pull (activated by the button) struggles to come out.
