Up for sale is a stunning, authentic Japanese export porcelain demitasse cup and saucer set. This set features a gorgeous, hand-painted Art Nouveau floral pattern in muted purple-grey and earthy green tones, framed by a soft peach/beige gradient border. The edge of the cup and saucer is green. The bottom of the pieces features the rare antique green/blue Imperial Crown backstamp over the words "Hand Painted NIPPON". This mark dates the production strictly between 1891 and 1921, confirming it is a true century-old antique. The cup measures 3" tall x 2.5" wide at the top. The saucer measures 5 1/8" wide.
