Wind the mechanism and the miniature train travels around the circular track while the music box plays. The piece has clear viewing panels on multiple sides, a hinged viewing lid and an on/off control near the hinge. A decorative gold-tone locomotive emblem accents the front. Tested and working. The wind-up music and animated train operated during testing. The case shows scratches, scuffs and areas of finish wear or loss from previous display and storage. The most noticeable marks are on the front beneath the window, along portions of the top and around the lower rear area. The clear panels have some surface marks and smudges, and the interior has some dust. The bottom is marked Mr. Christmas, “Showcase Music Box–Train,” model 14633, with date code 2906.
