Vintage 1966 Enid Collins of Texas “Road Runner II” Original Box Bag Purse Wonderful original Enid Collins wooden box handbag featuring the whimsical “Road Runner II” design. The red wood-grain box is hand decorated with a stylized black and ivory roadrunner accented by a dimensional teardrop jewel. The design is identified “Road Runner II” at the lower left and bears the classic “ec” mark at lower right. Inside the lid is the original round mirror and hand-lettered Collins identification: “the Original Box Bag by Collins of Texas” “hand-decorated for You!” “copyright 1966 enid collins” Measures approximately 11" wide × 6" high × 3" deep , excluding handle. Original handle, closure hardware, mirror and decorative front elements are present. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. The painted wooden exterior shows scratches, scuffs, edge wear and areas of finish loss. Cream-colored handle/closure fittings show discoloration, crazing and cracking from age, particularly around attachment points. Hardware shows tarnish/oxidation.
