The set contains 15 matching pieces, creating five complete 3-piece place settings: • 5 teacups • 5 matching saucers • 5 matching dessert/bread plates Pieces bear the distinctive red RS rising-sun backstamp with “MADE IN JAPAN.” This mark is associated with Japanese decorator/exporter Rokunosuke Shimizu and dates to the early 20th century. The set displays beautifully, with variations in the floral decoration giving the pieces the character associated with hand-decorated Japanese export porcelain.
