View 1911-1921 Morimura NIPPON Porcelain Vase - Handpainted White Roses - 10.5" with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The vase was created in Japan and imported into the United States 1911-1921 by the Morimura Brothers. In wonderful antique condition, the bottom of the vase features the Nippon maker's mark: a capital letter "M" (for Morimura) centered inside an open wreath with "Nippon" below it, used from 1911 to 1921. Offered is a breathtakingly beautiful NIPPON porcelain vase hand painted with a large spray of fantastic white roses.  The vase was created in Japan and imported into the United States 1911-1921 by the Morimura Brothers.* This exquisitely matte-painted vase's background scales from a gray-green at the top to a very light pastel green at the base.  Against that, a very skilled artist depicts a spray of luscious white roses with subtle foliage that incorporates shades of green, purple and pink. In the background are the evocative shadows of additional flowers and foliage.    Composed of white porcelain, the vase has straight sides and widens as it rises.  It narrows at the shoulders to form its opening.  The porcelain vase measures 10 1/2" H; the top opening is 3 1/2" W.  The minimalist design of the body allows it to serve as a canvas for exceptional painted decoration.  It weighs 1 lb. 13 oz.
