View Antique Sewing Box converted from 19C Bentwood Pantry Box with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Round antique bentwood box with fitted lid, copper/brad-tacked seams on both box and lid band. Box dates to the early 1900s. The lid decoration — two cherubs (putti) amid a ribbon and floral swag, signed "Sophie" — appears to be a later addition, painted in a style consistent with the mid-20th century. Round antique bentwood box with fitted lid, copper/brad-tacked seams on both box and lid band. Approx. 6-1/2" diameter x 3" high. Box dates to the early 1900s. The lid decoration — two cherubs (putti) amid a ribbon and floral swag, signed "Sophie" — appears to be a later addition, painted in a style consistent with the mid-20th century. Interior lined with a rose and floral print fabric, finished with a crocheted lace trim at the rim. Wood shows age wear, scuffs, and old surface losses consistent with age (see photos).
