Suited to a christening or any special occasion. The high round neck fastens at the back. The yoke is richly worked with panels of openwork lace and needle-lace insertion and fine vertical pintucks, with a row of small buttons down the front bodice and a deep band of crochet-style lace insertion at the raised waist. The long sleeves are gathered to lace-trimmed cuffs. The full gathered skirt falls to a deep hem decorated with horizontal pintuck bands, a band of fine lace insertion and a drawn-thread border.
