Hand-woven and wrapped with wooden oak splints it showcases medium to dark appearance with warm, time-earned patina. Areas of charred wood, suggest this basket may have been used near a hearth to hold firewood or kindling. Natural aged patina, splits, and a 12 inch section broken and missing wrapping on one side of double-wooden rim (as shown). Wrapping does not appear to be overly loose in that section. One inch hole and broken weave in bottom of basket. Overall basket appears to be strong.
