View Antique Victorian Art Nouveau 14K Gold Amethyst Seed Pearl Lavalier Pendant with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The piece is marked "14K" on the back in a tiny font that can only be seen under magnification. There also appears to be a maker's mark on the upper left side of the back which I was able to capture in one photo. Elegant antique Victorian lavalier pendant made of 14K gold, set with 16 seed pearls and a single prong-set, faceted oval-shaped amethyst. Delicate and delightfully detailed, this pendant is the epitome of Art Nouveau design. The piece is marked "14K" on the back in a tiny font that can only be seen under magnification. (Please note that I have not independently verified the gold quality.) There also appears to be a maker's mark on the upper left side of the back which I was able to capture in one photo. It seems to have an "M" or a "W" but I just couldn't read it sufficiently to identify it. On the upper righthand side there appears to be a minuscule signature but I can't make that out either. Even if we cannot determine the maker of this lovely piece, the quality of the lavalier speaks for itself, in terms of both design and materials. It is beautifully crafted and remains in excellent condition. The pendant in its current form has no discernible flaws. Please note, however, that the pendant does have a small loop at the bottom from which an additional pearl may have hung at some point during its long life. Whether this was lost or intentionally removed I can't say. A dangle of some sort could be retrofitted if one were desired. The pendant does not look incomplete without an additional element. Attractive and easy to wear, this piece could be enjoyed on a daily basis. This charming lavalier pendant evokes a more romantic era. It would certainly enhance any wardrobe and collection of antique jewelry.  Please note that the pendant is offered by itself, without a chain. The chain is for display purposes only.
