Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of mid-century Polish regional folk art (Sztuka Ludowa) . Originating from the famous Tatra Mountain carving region of southern Poland (Zakopane style), this round cylinder container features stunning traditional craftsmanship. The lid features a hand-carved, stylized six-petaled rosette flower motif, while the body is decorated with geometric bands created using a classic pyrography (wood-burning) technique. The top features a precision-turned lip for a smooth, secure friction-fit closure. Condition Details: Markings: Stamped clearly on the clean wood bottom with its original red ink mark: "MADE IN POLAND" . Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The wood grain has a warm, honey-toned aging. No cracks, deep chips, or splits. The friction lid fits securely. There is a tiny square of vintage sticker residue on the bottom just above the stamp (as pictured), which is common for exported folk-craft items from this era. Condition: Used.
