Vintage 9-Piece Burl Walnut Salad Bowl Set - Billings, Missouri (Model #113)   Up for sale is a stunning 9-piece vintage wooden salad bowl set manufactured by Vermillion ("Burl Walnut") in Billings, Missouri. Originally received as a wedding gift in 1973, this single-owner set has been carefully stored and preserved in very good vintage condition.  SET INCLUDES & DIMENSIONS:   1 Large Salad Serving Bowl: 12" Diameter - Branded on the bottom with "Burl Walnut 113 Billings Missouri" (Model #113) with original gold inventory sticker marked 822.  6 Individual Matching Salad Bowls: 6.75" Diameter each.  2 Wooden Serving Utensils: Large Fork and Spoon.  FEATURES & CRAFTSMANSHIP DETAILS:   Segmented Wood Construction: Staved/block-constructed from solid Missouri black walnut. Individual wood blocks were joined together prior to lathe-turning, creating a rich contrast in the natural grain while significantly increasing structural stability to prevent warping over time.  Matching Production Run & Provenance: The main serving bowl and all 6 individual side bowls feature identical lathe-mounting plugs on their bases, confirming all pieces were turned and finished together in the same factory batch. (Note: One individual bowl features a plug with dark parallel grain lines from the original natural wood dowel stock).  CONDITION NOTES:   Overall in Very Good Vintage Condition with smooth finishes throughout and zero signs of water damage, drops, or post-purchase abuse.  Single-owner set (received as a 1973 wedding gift). Wood grain and finish remain well-preserved.  Factory/Manufacturing Details (Pictured): Includes two small original traits present from the 1973 manufacturing process:  A tiny, shallow hairline check in the wood adjacent to one base plug (see photo of bowl with darker plug).  A small factory wood patch/filled spot near the outer rim of one individual bowl that can be felt with a finger (see photo of the 6 overturned bowls, front row center).  Carefully packed and shipped with full insurance coverage via USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground.
